The CIMS program has been specifically adopted for coordinating responses to emergency incidents, and provides a process for agencies to work together regardless of their different legal, geographical and functional responsibilities.
People credited with these unit standards are able to describe the role & purpose of CIMS while demonstrating knowledge of the elements, terminology and structure of CIMS, incident control procedures and operating environments.
This CIMS training covers three Unit Standards:
- NZQA Unit 29553 - Demonstrate operational knowledge of New Zealand's Coordinated Incident Management System function and structure.
- NZQA Unit 29554 - Apply operational knowledge of New Zealand's Coordinated Incident Management System.
- NZQA Unit 32158 - Demonstrate basic knowledge of New Zealand's Coordinated Incident Management System.
