The CIMS program has been specifically adopted for coordinating responses to emergency incidents, and provides a process for agencies to work together regardless of their different legal, geographical and functional responsibilities.
People credited with these unit standards are able to describe the role & purpose of CIMS while demonstrating knowledge of the elements, terminology and structure of CIMS, incident control procedures and operating environments.
This CIMS training covers two Unit Standards:

NZQA unit 17279 - Demonstrate knowledge of the Coordinated Incident Management System.
