Confined Space - REFRESHER - Morning

NZQA Unit Standards 18426, 17599, 25510 & Optional US 3058 & 19207

Refresh your knowledge and technical skills to effectively plan, observe and safely enter a confined space.

It is generally seen as good work practice that trainees refresh these unit standards every 2 years.  Duration of this course is 4 hours and will cover the unit Standards and a practical exercise to reinforce the trainee's knowledge on working in confined space correctly. 

(The practical exercise can be replaced with our Workplace verifier process - This process is simple; a workplace verifier confirms the competency of the learner performing the tasks being refreshed by completing our Attestation form).

The following Unit Standards will be covered in the Refresher course:

NZQA Unit Standard 18426 - Demonstrate knowledge of hazards associated with confined spaces.

NZQA Unit Standard 17599 - Plan a confined space entry.

NZQA Unit Standard 25510 - Operate an atmospheric testing device to determine a suitable atmosphere exists to work safely.

NZQA Unit Standard 3058 - Perform gas tests for an energy and chemical plant.

NZQA Unit Standard 19207 - Work in a confined space in the infrastructure industry
