This course will reinforce your knowledge of slinging loads safely. Included are a series of practical exercises, ensuring you are up-to-date with the skills needed to understand calculations about lifting gear and working load limit tables and carrying out required duties. This course will also cover all relevant crane regulations.

NZQA  Unit Standard 3800 - Use a radio remote or pendant-controlled gantry crane to lift and place regular loads - Level 4, 10 Credits

• Pre-start checks.
• Isolation and lock-out procedures.
• Inspect lifting equipment before use. Includes but is not limited to chains, web slings, wire rope, and spreader bars.
• Lift and place regular loads.
