NZQA Unit Standard 21821:  Maintain and install services for an underground operation – Level 3, Credit 15

Pre-requisites:  Unit 7146, Demonstrate basic knowledge and ability required to work in an underground operation, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.

Learning Objectives:

• Check task and equipment requirements before going underground.
• Maintain ventilation services; maintain water services.
• Maintain compressed air services.
• Maintain strata support services.
• Deliver and store electrical equipment and cables.
• Supply other materials and equipment, and complete documentation, in an underground operation.
